Your questions answered

Application, durability and safety

Everything on getting a natural finish, making it last, and what Densifol works with.

How do I apply Densifol for the most natural look?
Apply to clean, dry hair. Shake the fibres over the thinning areas until you have the coverage you want, then pat gently to blend. For extra hold, a light mist of your normal hairspray does the job. There is no need for an overpriced locking spray.
Can I reapply during the day if I need to?
Yes. Reapply whenever you like. It blends in seamlessly again with no build up.
What is the best way to remove it?
Just wash your hair with shampoo. The fibres rinse away easily with your normal hair-washing routine.
How long does a single application last?
Usually until your next shampoo. It is made to stay put through daily activity, wind and light rain.
How should I store the bottle?
Keep it somewhere cool and dry with the lid closed after each use. That keeps moisture out and the fibres fresh and effective.
Will it hold up in light rain or humidity?
Yes. It is designed to stay put through light rain, sweat and humidity. In heavier weather, a quick mist of normal hairspray gives even stronger hold.
Does it stay in place in the wind?
Yes. The fibres bond to your hair with a natural static charge, so they do not blow away.
How well does it hold through a busy day?
One application lasts all day until you wash it out. Work, out with friends, on the move, the coverage stays natural and reliable.
Can I use it for sport or workouts?
Yes. It is sweat resistant and suits an active day. Apply before your workout and it holds.
Do I need a special fixing spray?
No. If you want extra protection in heavy rain or high humidity, a light mist of standard hairspray works perfectly. Unlike some brands, we do not sell an overpriced spray dressed up as something special.
Can I use it with coloured or dyed hair?
Yes. Densifol blends seamlessly with coloured or dyed hair. Just pick the closest shade to your current colour for the most natural finish.
Is it okay with a hair transplant or treatments like Minoxidil?
The fibres sit on the hair, not the scalp. With Minoxidil, let it dry fully first, then apply the fibres. After a transplant, wait until your surgeon says the grafts have settled. If you are unsure, check with your clinic first.
Can women use it too?
Yes. It works for anyone with thinning hair and gives instant, natural looking coverage for men and women alike.
Does it work on all hair types and textures?
Yes. Straight, wavy, curly or textured, the fibres bond naturally and give full, even coverage.
Is it okay for sensitive scalps?
The fibres are keratin, the same protein hair is made of, with no harsh nasties. Most sensitive scalps are completely fine with it. If you are prone to reactions, do a small patch test first and see how you get on.
